Group Head and Chief Environmental Media Analyst
Dr. Frank Anim has diverse academic backgrounds. He holds a Diploma in Education and a BSc in Zoology & Botany from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana; an MPhil in Environmental Science from the University of Ghana; and a PhD in Geology (Environmental/Contaminant Hydrology) from the Department of Earth Science (formerly Geology Department), University of Ghana, in collaboration with the University of Copenhagen‐Denmark, under the DANIDA-ENRECA Hydrogeological Project. In addition, Dr. Anim has certificates in Water Quality Monitoring and Ground and Surface Water Hydrology from the Cranfield University, England. He has had additional training in IFC Performance Standards jointly organized by IFC and Institute of Environmental Studies in Ghana and Hydrochemical Modelling from University of Copenhagen which was taken as part of his PhD program.
Professionally, Dr. Anim is an Environmental and Social Impact and Risk Management Consultant and Environmental Media Analyst. He has over 20 years postgraduate experience, 17 years of which are related to his current career. Frank has been involved in numerous assignments, both Greenfield and Brownfield Projects in his home country and within the sub-region. He is a member of the International Association of Impact Assessors (IAIA), Ghana, Member no. IAIA-Gh031. His ability to apply various computer software in a complementary manner to any set of data provides him with a better understanding in analyzing and interpreting data with appropriate recommendations and cogent alternatives. Having had to be personally involved in large scale sampling and analysis of sampling both as part of this academic training and professional work, with strong chemistry and biological backgrounds, Frank comes to the industry with strong analytical prowers with firm understanding of the behavior of environmental media. His best comes in interpretation of data and postulating strong linkages between data behavior and both climatological, geological and anthropogenic interplay of environmental media behavior with strong environmental media projections based on data. Currently, Dr. Anim is the Group Head of SaferWorld Laboratories.

MR. EBENEZER QUADZIE

Laboratory Manager
Mr. Ebenezer Quadzie holds a BSc in Water and Sanitation from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana and an MSc in Environmental Science (specializing in Air Quality Surveillance) from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology Kumasi, Ghana. He also has a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Training from OSHAcademy.
Mr. Quadzie has over 7 years’ postgraduate experience in Environmental Media Quality Monitoring and Analysis, Equipment Maintenance and Calibration, Data Analysis and Interpretation, using various Environmental Quality Software. He has undertaken Environmental Baseline Monitoring Studies as an integral part of Environmental Impact Assessment in nine of the 16 regions of Ghana, involving the mining/quarry, agricultural, water and energy sectors.
Ebenezer was the team lead for air, noise, and water quality assessment for the following projects: Cardinal-Namdini Gold Mining Project, Kingsperp-Aboaboso Gold Mining Project, VAMED Nederland BV-Government of Ghana Hospital Project, Village Corps Biomass Power Plant/Farming System Project, and Atlantic Lithium Baseline Studies, which were all internationally funded projects and guided by World Bank/IFC Standards. In addition to baseline surveys, Ebenezer has successfully undertaken Fenceline Air Quality and Pollution Surveillance for over thirty (30) functional industries, including Paint Manufacturing, Bulk Oil Storage, Oil & Gas, Cement production, Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages, Fertilizer production and Canned Food industries, either as a Regulatory requirement by the Ghana EPA and/or as a Company’s requirement for tracking internal pollution or assessing efficiency of production equipment and machines. Years of practical experience and training both on the field and at the laboratory have shaped his professional life into a robust and analytically oriented person. Ebenezer is the Laboratory Manager at SaferWorld Laboratories.

Kenneth Nii Ayi Otokunor holds a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Biology and Biotechnology from the University of Cape Coast, Cape Coast-Ghana. Mr. Nii Ayi Otokunor has over two years’ experience in Laboratory Analysis ranging from performing conformity test to meet both international and local standards, performing microbial quality and analytical analysis on potable water and effluent as well as equipment maintenance and calibration, data analysis and interpretation. Mr. Nii Ayi Otokunor is currently an Assistant Environmental Media Analyst at SaferWorld Laboratories.

Mr. Ebenezer Akakpo holds an HND in Science Laboratory Technology and a BTech in Science Laboratory Technology (specializing in Analytical Chemistry) from Accra Technical University in Accra, Ghana. Mr. Akakpo has over two years’ experience in Laboratory Analysis ranging from performing conformity test to meet both international and local standards, performing microbial quality and safety analysis on potable water and effluent as well as equipment maintenance and calibration, data analysis and interpretation. Mr. Akakpo is currently an Assistant Environmental Media Analyst at SaferWorld Laboratories.
EDITH KORANTENG
Administration
Edith holds a Diploma and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Professional Studies, Accra-Ghana.
She has about 10 years’ experience in Administration and Banking, and has worked in reputable organizations such as Accra Brewery Limited, Standard Chartered Bank, UniBank, the erstwhile Consolidated Bank of Ghana and SMT Ghana (Volvo). She is currently the Senior Administration Officer at NEMAS Consult/SaferWorld Laboratories.

MR. SELLASIE KPORTUFEY

Head of Transport
Sellasie holds the West African Senior School Certificate after successful completion of Akatsi Secondary Technical School in 2007. He further pursued a four (4) year apprentice training in Diesel and Petrol Engine Mechanics from Auto House Engineering in Accra. Sellasie has been practicing defensive driving for over 10 years after obtaining his driving license from the Drivers Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) in 2011. Currently, Sellasie is the Senior Transport Officer at SaferWorld Laboratories.
